Systems Engineering Workshop
BuildInFlexergy – Systems Engineering Workshop
31 March 2026, Eindhoven
On 31 March 2026, a workshop on Systems Engineering approach was organized in collaboration with Eindhoven Engine, at the TU Eindhoven campus.
The workshop focused on strengthening the understanding and application of systems engineering principles within the project, with particular attention to the V-model and its relevance in both research and industrial environments.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the core principles of systems engineering by Dr. Erik Puik (Fontys University), followed by a hands-on session led by Ir. Derek Vissers (Kropman B.V.), who demonstrated how the V-model can be effectively applied in real-world projects and R&D processes.
The interactive format encouraged discussion and knowledge exchange, enabling participants to explore how structured engineering methodologies can support the development, validation, and integration of innovative building energy solutions.
Key highlights
Introduction to core systems engineering principles and methodologies
Practical application of the V-model in industrial and research contexts
